The 2019 Eastern Conference Quarter-Final between the Petes and Generals marks the 15th time the division rivals meet in the post-season. The Generals have taken 10 of those series to Peterborough’s 4, with Oshawa most recently sweeping the Petes in the first round on route to winning the 2015 MasterCard Memorial Cup.

In the last five seasons, only three times has the lower seeded team come out on top in the first round. The Petes claim one of those series wins, having beat the third-seeded Kingston Frontenacs in seven games as the sixth seed in the 2014 OHL Playoffs.

Both the Petes and Generals were 7-2-1-0 in their final 10 games of the regular season. Peterborough won 5 of their last 6, with Oshawa winning their final 3.

Chris Paquette has the most post-season experience among the Petes. He has 5 goals, 7 assists, and 12 points in 37 playoff games. 6 of those points came as a member of the Petes during the team’s 12 game 2017 playoff run.

Brett Neumann has 40 playoff games under his belt, split between the Kingston Frontenacs and the Erie Otters. He has 5 goals, 14 assists, and 19 post-season points.
