The Petes are off to their hottest start since the 2007-08 season, winning their first three games of the 2018-19 campaign with 4-0 win over Kingston, a 7-3 thumping of Ottawa, and a 5-2 victory over the nationally ranked Niagara IceDogs just 48 hours ago. They’ll face another big challenge tonight as they try to tame the reigning OHL Champion Bulldogs.

Overage forward Chris Paquette continues to climb league scoring charts: he leads the OHL in goals (5) and is second in points (7). Hamilton’s Saigeon, who was recently returned to the Bulldogs from the Colorado Avalanche, is tied for points (7) with Paquette.

Petes goaltender Tye Austin is asking fans to take part in a chuck-a-puck at tonight’s game, the proceeds from which will be donated to relief efforts in his hometown of Dunrobin (Ottawa). Prizes up for grabs include a CCM Super Tacks 2.0 pro stock hockey stick (value $319.99 plus tax) and a Petes prize pack. Pucks will be available for purchase throughout the arena.
