Fourth Annual Faceoff Against Dementia Fundraising Game on Saturday Night against Oshawa
The Petes will face off against the Oshawa Generals for the Faceoff Against Dementia Cup on Saturday, January 20 at 7:05pm.
The fourth annual event, which raised over $25,000 in its first three years, will benefit the Alzheimer Society of Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland & Haliburton, which supports over 7,600 people who are living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias in the Peterborough area.
Fans can participate in multiple fundraising activities throughout the game. There will be a large silent auction, which will feature items including a signed Steven Stamkos Tampa Bay Lightning jersey, a stick signed by Hockey Hall of Famers Gordie Howe and Ron Ellis, and other hockey memorabilia. A team signed Petes jersey is up for grabs through a second intermission chuck-a-puck.
Saturday’s game is sponsored by CIBC, the official bank of the Petes and the CHL. The first 1,000 fans to visit CIBC in the north lobby will receive a Percy the Penguin doll to toss in a first intermission CIBC Centre Ice Challenge. The winner will receive $500 for themselves, as well as $500 for a local charity of their choice.
Students of Lakefield College School will perform the national anthem.
Game tickets are available starting at $8 through the Collins Barrow PMC Box Office, online, or by phone at (705) 743-3561.
Saturday is the last game for which fans can redeem Petes Holiday Flex Pack vouchers. Fans can still purchase packs up until game time. Receive four regular bowl flex vouchers to be used at any remaining January home games, as well as two Petes rocks glasses for just $59.99, a savings of over 40%.
