Petes Acquire Jake Bricknell from Storm

Peterborough Petes General Manager Michael Oke announced today that the team has acquired forward Jake Bricknell from the Guelph Storm in exchange for Peterborough’s 15th round pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection.

Bricknell, a 6’1”, 212lbs centre from Port Perry, Ontario, has played in 205 OHL games between the Belleville Bulls, Hamilton Bulldogs, and Guelph Storm. He has recorded 19 goals and 23 assists for 42 points, along with 252 penalty minutes, in that span.

“Jake has a lot of OHL experience,” noted Oke. “He will continue to play with Cobourg, but will be available to be called up by the Petes during the second half of the season or in the playoffs.”

In return, Guelph receives Peterborough’s 15th round pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection.

The Petes play on Thursday, January 12 at 7:05pm against the rival Oshawa Generals, with a win in that game moving them into a tie for first place in the Eastern Conference. Tickets are available here for the game, and don’t forget to download the free Peterborough Petes Mobile App powered by Kawartha TV & Stereo, available for iPhone or Android devices.
