Petes doubled by Wolves

The Petes travelled to Sudbury on Friday night but were doubled by the Wolves 6-3 after falling behind 4-0 early in the 2nd period.

 

The Wolves opened the scoring 12:21 into the game on Mathew Campagna's first of the game before he made it 2-0 at 16:54 on the powerplay and Dominik Kahun made it 30 Wolves at 17:26.

 

The Wolves increased their lead to 4-0 7:58 into the 2nd on a goal by Domink Kubalik but the Petes mounted their comeback at 12:55 on Nelson Armstrong's first of the game.  Nick Ritchie made it 4-2 at 15:46 as the Petes cut the Wolves lead in half after 40 minutes.

 

The third period began and the Petes looked to be on the comeback as Armstrong got his second of the night to pull the Petes within a goals at 16:29, however less than 2 minutes later the Wolves restored a 2 goal lead and added an empty net marker at 18:50 by Brody Silk to make the final 6-3 for the Wolves.

 

The Petes are now of until Sunday night when play the Sault Ste. marie Greyhounds at the Essar Centre.
