Petes Trade C.J. Clarke to Firebirds in Exchange for Picks

Peterborough Petes General Manager Michael Oke announced today that the team has acquired two early picks in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection from the Flint Firebirds in exchange for sophomore forward C.J. Clarke.

In the deal, Peterborough acquires Guelph’s second round pick and Niagara’s third round pick, both in the 2018 OHL Priority Selections.

In return, the Firebirds receive Clarke, who was Peterborough’s 2nd round, 29th overall pick in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. The 6’1”, 201lbs winger has scored seven goals and six assists in 80 games with the Petes over two seasons.

“I’d like to thank C.J. for his time in Peterborough, both on the ice and in the community” commented Oke. “He is a good young player, and we wish him all the best in Flint this season and beyond.”

The Petes play on Thursday, January 12 at 7:05pm against the rival Oshawa Generals, with a win in that game moving them into a tie for first place in the Eastern Conference. Tickets are available here for the game, and don’t forget to download the free Peterborough Petes Mobile App powered by Kawartha TV & Stereo, available for iPhone or Android devices.
