Petes Trade Veteran Defencman

The Peterborough Petes today announced the trade of veteran defenceman Chad Lowry to the Kitchener Rangers in exchange for the rights to goaltender Chris McDougall and an 8th round draft pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection.
Lowry, the Petes second round selection in the 2007 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection was in his third season with the Petes. He recorded 3 goals and 14 points in 110 Ontario Hockey League Games while adding 117 penalty Minutes.
Chris McDougall is currently playing with the Guelph Hurricanes of the Mid Western Junior B League where he has played in 12 games with a 3-7-2 record, 4.15 GAA and .884 Save %. The Hurricanes are currently 7-14-2 on the season. The native of Copper Cliff, Ontario was a 5th round selection of the Rangers in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection after winning the National Midget Championship with Sudbury in 2008.
