Greg McIntyre is Recognized as This Week’s Peterborough Petes Local Minor Hockey Volunteer

Head coach of the Peterborough Hockey Association (PHA) U10, Tier 1 Petes, Greg McIntyre is recognized as this week’s exceptional minor hockey volunteer.

McIntyre is recognized for continuously providing a safe and welcoming environment for all kids and ensuring all kids are provided equal opportunity in hockey. He is celebrated by parents for his ability to push his players to reach their full potential while maintaining a  fun and exciting atmosphere.

“Greg is a wonderful coach,” says Janis Askin, who nominated McIntyre. “He treats all players with the same level of respect and pushes them to their full potential. He knows how to encourage them and get the most out of every player, but at the same time keeps the fun in hockey.”

Each week the Petes will recognize and celebrate one volunteer from the PMHCPHAPGHA, and local adaptive hockey organizations for their additional time and effort in ensuring a safe environment and return for hockey.

The Petes welcome players, parents and other members of the minor hockey community to nominate deserving local volunteers by filling out this form.
