OHL News – Radio Edition for Oct. 23/19

Ontario Hockey League

OHL News – Radio Edition with host Terry Doyle and presented by Bauer brings fans insight from feature guests as well as news and notes from around the league each and every week over the airwaves.

This week’s segment features Peterborough Petes goaltender Hunter Jones, a second round pick of the Minnesota Wild in this past summer’s NHL Draft. Jones, who is the reigning OHL ‘On the Run’ Player of the Week, currently leads the league with a 2.41 goals-against average for the Petes who own a 9-3-0-0 record despite playing 11 of their first 12 games of the season on the road.

Doyle and Jones discuss Peterborough’s hot start and how nine straight on the road to start the season brought the team together. They also delve into some of the renovations done on the Peterborough Memorial Centre and how those things might be affecting play on the ice. Jones also shares his exciting experience over the summer and how the Wild organization has welcomed him with open arms.

Doyle also covers the launch of the new CHL App as well as the recent unveiling of Hockey Canada’s World Under-17 Hockey Challenge rosters that include 24 OHL players.
