Petes to Recognize Local Minor Hockey Volunteers with Weekly Awards

The Peterborough Petes are excited to recognize deserving local minor hockey volunteers with the ‘Minor Hockey Volunteer of the Week’ awards.

The Petes recognize that this hockey season has required additional time and effort from volunteer executives, coaches, trainers, and managers in order to ensure a safe return for players to the rink.

Each week the Petes will recognize and celebrate one volunteer from the PMHC, PHA, PGHA, and local adaptive hockey organizations who continue to contribute to the planning, organization, and execution of local minor hockey’s return to the ice.

“Without volunteers, grassroots hockey would not function,” said Peterborough Petes General Manager Mike Oke. “This season more than ever, these individuals are essential for the continued growth of our great game. The Petes are thankful for these volunteers, and we are proud to help recognize some of them for their hard work.”

Selected recipients will receive a prize package including a gift card to East Side Mario’s, Gibson’s Finest Canadian Whisky rocks glasses, and social media recognition.

The Petes welcome players, parents and other members of the minor hockey community to nominate deserving local volunteers by filling out this form.
