The Peterborough Petes are proud to select Right Defenceman Adam Sedlak from Vitkovice Czech Jr. with their first selection, 13th overall in the 2008 CHL Import Draft.

The 6'2" 190 lbs rearguard has represented the Czech Republic at the Under 16, Under 17 and Under 18 championships.  Sedlak is a 1991 born player with a late birthday making him eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

"Adam is a player that is recognized by several of our NHL contacts as a prospect for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft" says Petes General Manager Jeff Twohey.  "With the loss of Arturs Kulda to the American Hockey League and the potential loss of Zach Bogosian to the Atlanta Thrashers we felt it was important to add some depth on our blueline."

Peterborough Petes Season Tickets are on sale now at the Peterbough Memorial Centre Box Office.  Current Season Ticket Holders have until June 27th to purchase their seats before they are released for sale to the general public.
