The Erie Otters are in town for their only visit to the PMC this regular season. A season removed from an OHL championship, the rebuild continues in Erie. Their key departures from last year’s club include Patrick Fellows, Owen Headrick, and Troy Lajeunesse. During the offseason, the Otters acquired Danial Singer from the Niagara IceDogs. They selected defenceman and captain of the minor midget Toronto Marlies Jamie Drysdale 4th overall in April, and Czech Republic native Petr Cajka 12th overall in the CHL import.

Erie is one of two OHL teams, the other being the North Bay Battalion, that doesn’t have an NHL-drafted player on their active roster.

Off the ice, Fresh Radio 100.5 is giving fans the chance to ‘Spin & Win’ in the North Lobby of the PMC. Fans are invited to take part in a fundraising chuck-a-puck in support of The James Fund. Prizes up for grabs include a game-used, team-signed stick, two tickets to an upcoming Petes home game, and a $25 Petes Store gift certificate. The Peterbrorough Pop Ensemble will be performing tonight’s national anthems.
