Hounds shutout Petes

The Soo Greyhounds handed the Petes a 4-0 shuotout loss on Sunday night as the Petes closed out a two game northern Ontario road trip.

 

Following a scoreless first period the Hounds with a short handed goal by Jared McCann at 3:15 and built a 2-0 lead 5:28 when Sergey Tolchinsky slid a puck through Andrew D'Agostini.  Colin Miller made it 3-0 for the home team at 16:48 of the middle frame and the Greyhounds put the game out of reach for the Petes at 14:25 of the 3rd period.

 

The Petes will now begin a 3 game home stand beginnning on Thursday March 7th when they host the Kingston Frontenacs.  On Sunday March 10th they host the Ottawa 67's and on March 12th host the Mississauga Steelheads.  The Petes will close out the regular season with a pair of road games on March 15th in Kingston and March 17th in Brampton.

 

The Petes currently sit 4 points behind both Kingston and Mississauga for the final playoff position in the Eastern Conference.
